Wendy Butchart – Director of Volunteers

This is my second year on the Board of Governors with the Becket Players. I got to know the Beckets through my association with the West Island Relay for Life.

I have been volunteering for 7 years at various fundraising functions in the West Island with my main volunteer activities with the Relay for Life. I have been honoured as one of the top 4 Quebec Volunteers with the Canadian Cancer Society 3 years ago and last year, 2017 I was honoured as one of the Top 50 Volunteers over 50 years in the West Island at an Awards Ceremony hosted by Volunteer West Island.

I am very excited to be working with such a vibrant and passionate group of Volunteers from the Board to the Cast and Crew of the Show and the volunteers who put together the stage, sound and kitchen and the servers who make sure our patrons have a wonderful experience.

The fact is that everyone involved is a volunteer who works tirelessly for an untold number of hours to put on a spectacular show in the spring of each year to raise funds to with one goal in mind, to raise money to help kids in the West Island.
